True Faith or True Church

Are we saved by faith in Christ or faith in church?

Some church claimed itself to be the only 'true' church. Most of them tend to have extreme doctrines which sounds blibical but actually not. And they will claim that salvation outside their church is not possible.
To me, this is totally unblibical

Salvation is only through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works. Not even by church beliefs

Lets examine a few bible verses

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:8

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1

Yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

Galatians 2:16

Some churches claimed itself to be 'the only true' church. These teachings denies the complete work and atonement of Christ on the cross. Therefore, we ought to reject such churches
