Recently, I have got a sermon from a preacher of a 'true' church.
He was making a comparison between his 'true' church and other church. He claimed other churches only preaches 1 gospel which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While his 'true' church preaches two gospels which are
1) The Gospel of Jesus Christ
2) The Gospel of His church being the 'true' church
Indirectly, he was preaching that the other churches are not true churches, while failing to mention the names of the churches and specify why the other churches are not true.
This is the danger of 'another gospel' which Paul warns us, Christians to be aware of.
Galatians 1:8-9King James Version (KJV)
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
We should not add anything or remove anything from the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Proverbs 30:6
So, what is exactly the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
